Editing service
I have two decades of professional experience in copyediting and proofreading, most notably with the Dictionary of Irish Biography and the Irish Historic Towns Atlas (both Royal Irish Academy research projects). I specialise in history, historical geography and literary history.
Transcription service
I get a real kick out of deciphering and making sense of handwritten documents, especially those dating from around 1700 onwards. In 2019 I published a critical edition of the diaries of John (Fiott) Lee FRS – hundreds of pages of 200-year-old pencil scrawl. I take pride (and great satisfaction!) in providing a transcription service for other researchers.
